One of the deeply-rooted concepts in Mahdism is revenge. The revenge of Imam Al-Husain (P.B.U.H) is one of the primal goals of the Debut, to the extent that it became a slogan among the awaiters while calling Imam Al-Mahdi (P.B.U.H): “And where is the one who takes the revenge of the one murdered in Karbala?”
This research inspects the relationship between Imam Al-Mahdi (P.B.U.H) and the revenge of Imam Al-Husain (P.B.U.H). It studies the most significant reasons behind Imam Mahdi’s vengeance, on the one hand, and on the other, it studies the jurisprudential essence of Imam Mahdi’s killing of the offspring of Imam Husain’s murderers, depending on certain narrated traditions in this regard.
