This research studies one forged issue that the Hadiths narrated about Imam Al-Mahdi (P.B.U.H) are not mentioned in the primary sources of Muslims, as Sahih Muslim and Sahih Al-Bokary, leading the path to denying the concept of the Promised Savior.
The founder of this issue is Ibn Koldun, as an attempt of denying the existence of Imam AL-Mahdi (P.B.U.H), followed by others.
This study tends to shed light on the fact that Sahih Muslim and Al-Bokary have mentioned the concept of the Promised Mahdi partially, while they have deliberately neglected a great majority of narrations in this regard, which are considered “correct” according to their conditions.
Thus, there is a biographical study of Al-Bokary and his book in this research, focusing on the forgery his book has undergone, regarding divine gifts bestowed upon Ahlulbait (P.B.U.T).
This paper moves, afterwards, to a biographical perusal of Muslim bin Al-Hajaj and his book, reaching to the real reason, then, of neglecting the concept of the Promised Mahdi. It also highlights the places where Imam Al-Mahdi has been referred to in these two sources. Moreover, the paper analyzes the reasons of the forgery these two books have undergone in recent copies.
Finally, the research highlights a set of narrations about Imam Al-Mahdi (P.B.U.H), which are “correct” according to both authors’ conditions.
